Description

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Support Services Manager (SSM) is responsible for developing and overseeing the Support Services program. This includes collaborating with partnering agencies, building an effective team, creating program structure, and completing the required documentation needed in order to accomplish this. The SSM oversees and coordinates the social work provided to residents and supervises the Support Services staff, which includes conducting regular clinical supervision, scheduling shifts, participating in hiring and termination, processing payroll, completing personnel documentation, completing employee performance evaluations according to schedule, and monitoring the completion, accuracy, and submission of all required paperwork submitted by the Support Services staff. The SSM is also responsible for ensuring contract compliance, attaining successful service objective outcomes, adhering to reporting protocols and schedules, and managing a program budget. The Support Services Manager will play a crucial role in leading the Services team in their role in the rent-up and resident-stabilization process for this property.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least two years of supervisory experience is required.
  • A Masters Degree in psychology, counseling social work, or related field is strongly preferred.
  • Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (MFT) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience working with homeless and low-income individuals is preferred.
  • Given the specific needs of our residents, candidates with direct work experience related to mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, HIV/AIDS, and/or child welfare will be given first consideration.
  • Because of the amount of documentation and paperwork involved [in the rent-up process and] with the ongoing service provision to residents, strong administrative and organizational skills are required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a team approach, and the ability to communicate both orally and in writing are essential.
  • Excellent computer skills are required.
  • The ability to quickly assess and respond to a variety of situations, including medical emergencies, conflict resolution and intervention, and other resident emergencies. Must possess a working knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and implementation, as well as a strong knowledge of social services and mental health resources for low income families.
  • The successful candidate will possess the ability to facilitate effective support groups and other group activities.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience supervising staff to include: selection of staff, training, development, performance evaluations, progressive discipline, taking appropriate disciplinary action and knowing when to partner with Senior Leadership and Human Resources.


OTHER:

  • Must secure finger image screening and annual TB screening. Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position which may include long periods at a desk and/or computer workstation and lifting of up to 25 lbs.
