Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:30pm

Pay Range $20.00- $22.00

Nestled in San Francisco's Excelsior neighborhood on a nine-acre campus,the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living (SFCJL) is a center of excellence in providing a continuum of care. This includes the Frank Residences, offering luxurious assisted living and memory care services; the Jewish Home and Rehabilitation Center, featuring long-term skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation, and an acute psychiatric unit specialized in mental healthcare for older adults over age 55; and the Jewish Home and Senior Living Foundation.

What you'll do as a Central Supply Clerk:

The Central Supply Clerk is responsible for ensuring the facility has the necessary supplies to provide patient care.

  • Order medical and other supplies needed by the facility. Input order into Vanilla Wear and into the vendor system by Tuesday noon of each week.
  • Receive all deliveries at the designated location(s).
  • Log all deliveries into the Vanilla Wear system
  • Check all deliveries against invoices and open boxes to make sure goods are undamaged and reporting discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Store all deliveries to designated bins and shelves.
  • Coordinate the distribution and inventory of resident care supplies by:
  • Monitoring and receiving all supply requests from the nursing department.
  • Receive and acknowledge all requests. Must check incoming requests every two hours and respond in two hours.
  • Replenish all cart supplies regularly for the scheduled pickups of each unit.
  • Scan all supplies upon delivery removed for costing and inventory.
  • Scan remaining items on the cart before replenishment.
  • Restock cart to require par levels.
  • Recommend items for ordering.
  • Maintain and clean storage facility; label and rotate supplies on weekly basis.
  • Assist Central Supply Coordinator with budgeting and ordering requested special items.
  • Assist with quarterly inventory, which includes off-hours and weekends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year experience with supply management software.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport with peers and customers.
  • Demonstrated excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of basic office procedures.
  • Knowledge of common office supplies, materials, and equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, communicate and comprehend, verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Ability to accurately sort documents alphabetically, numerically, or by classification of the document.
  • Ability to learn and use new technology.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions and keep accurate records.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to operate hand and pallet jacks.
