Account Executive - Wine & Hospitality

The Wine & Hospitality Accounts Executive is responsible for selling the portfolio of the Hearst Bay Area's advertising products with a focus on digital to local and large regional and national accounts. Youwill lead sales efforts and strategies connected to key categories wine, destination, hospitality and core accounts. The Wine & Hospitality Accounts Executive Position will also be key point person handling marketing and selling efforts around the annual SFChronicle Wine Competition. Working with competition owners and hundreds of wineries helping promote awards earned. What will you do?

  • BOB 1mm plus prospect and penetrate larger business and their agencies to drive digital avenues and revenues and YoY growth.
  • Create persuasive sales presentations using, Google Drive, MS PowerPoint and Excel detailing market trends, case studies and Hearst ad products and solutions.
  • Analyze campaign performance statistics and recommend optimized media solutions.

What will it take to be successful?
  • A minimum of five years of media sales experience, with a significant focus on digital
  • A consultative sales professional who can produce in a dynamic, highly visible environment.
  • Consistent top-performing digital sales record
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative and team environment.
  • Understands and follows digital trends in media.
  • Demonstrate the ability to grow market share using digital solutions, forecasting and new customers.
  • Can effectively connect digital content opportunities to client's needs and initiatives.
  • Ability to understand the needs of clients and the value proposition.
  • Results-orientated, accountable, strong work ethic, team player
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Ability to travel up 20% for events, both in state and outside
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.

In accordance with applicable law, Hearst is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in California. The reasonable estimate is between $70,000 and $77,000. Please note this information is specific to those hired in San Francisco. If this role is open to candidates outside of San Francisco, the salary range would be aligned to that specific location. A final decision on the successful candidate's starting salary will be based on a number of permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills and experience, training, certifications, and education.
