**SWHS consists of two acute-care hospitals: Inland Valley Medical Center and Rancho Springs Medical Center.**

Inland Valley Medical Center

A 122 bed acute care hospital which features the regions only Level II Trauma Unit and is the county-designated Paramedical Base station and Southwest Riverside Countys only Center of Excellence in Weight Loss Surgery.

Rancho Springs Medical Center

A 120 bed acute care hospital which includes the regions largest birthing center along with the areas only NICU in combination with Rady Childrens Hospital and the regions first da Vinci Robotic Surgical Program.

As a staff member providing support expertise you will be responsible for providing excellence in patient care and customer service by sharing your talent in your chosen field. **Qualifications**

**ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS**

Knowledge and understanding of cleaning procedures.

Understands and practices good body mechanics.

Understands proper handling of bio-hazardous waste and chemicals.

Understands and practices infection control and isolation procedures.

Must have ability to interpret and communicate/read/understand in English in written and verbal material to perform essential job functions.

**MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE**

Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

Previous experience buffing, burnishing, stripping and/or waxing floors preferred.

**MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION**

**REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS**

None

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**

Exposure to solvents, chemicals, and cleaning solutions as applied to departmental MSDS sheet.

Must use personal protective equipment/devices to avoid direct contact with blood and body fluids, sharps, chemicals, etc. as they apply to each department.

Possible exposure to spills of mercury and/or other hazardous chemicals from other departments.

Operation of heavy equipment: floor buffer, carpet extractors, vacuum cleansers, etc.
