Position Overview:

Plans and organizes the scrub and preparation aspects in the care of surgical patients. Collaborates with the RNs, surgeons and all healthcare team members. Maintains AORN standards of professional nursing practice.

Job Description:

EDUCATION

* Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

* HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

* BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

* CST-Certified Surgical Technologist

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN

* Surgical Technician training

* Minimum five years experience in Surgical Services preferred

* Experience in basic computer skills preferred

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

* Knowledge of Aseptic technique

* Surgical scrub procedures, use of sterile technique, instruments, and setup procedures for the delivery/OR room

* Knowledge of the anesthesia cart and equipment

* OSHA Risk Category I(High Risk)

* Assist with tilling, supporting, maneuvering, and adjusting the position of patients weighing over 200 pounds

Pay Range is $44.77 to $57.81 / hour
