Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco overlooks Yerba Buena Gardens and is located just steps away from the City's Financial District, Union Square shopping, the Moscone Convention Center, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Contemporary Jewish Museum, amid the city's finest cultural and dining venues.

We are actively searching for an experienced, friendly and energetic individual to join the team as Bartender at MKT Bar - Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco!

The Role - Overview

The MKT Bartender is dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests, assuring each guest is greeted promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact, and a smile. This key role provides guests and servers with quick and efficient beverage service, following the state and city alcohol law while adhering to Four Seasons standards of service.

Essential Functions

* Above all else provide quality beverage product that ensures guest satisfaction.

* Greet guests, take food & beverage orders, and prepare drinks with a high degree of sophistication.

* Review drink tickets entered by servers and prepare each order to their specification within specified service standards and times.

* Recommend cocktails and wines to be paired with food items offered in the bar and adjacent restaurant.

* Recommend beverages (wine & spirits) based on guest preferences.

* Maintain strict serving and sanitation guidelines consistent with State, Local and Four Seasons requirements.

* Adhere to all Four Seasons standards - inside the Bar as well as out.

* Work efficiently while maintaining a harmonious relationship with employees at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications & Experience

* Viable candidates must have a minimum of two years of bartending experience in high volume, upscale environment. Luxury experience is preferred.

* Extensive wine, cocktail, and food knowledge is required.

* Knowledge of point of sales systems required. Micros Symphony knowledge preferred.

* Candidates with a bartending/mixology certification are preferred and will receive priority consideration.

* Must be able to easily prioritize and multi-task.

* Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends & holidays.

* Ability to quickly and positively establish rapport is required.

* Above average communication skills - both written and oral - are required.
