The projects will investigate, excavate, and restore properties that have environmentally and radiologically impacted soil; restore the shoreline and construct seawalls in support of the redevelopment of the San Francisco Bay waterfront. We are seeking a construction workforce who are up to the operational challenges of these high profile and critically important projects. **These projects pay the Federal prevailing wage scale (Davis-Bacon Act).****Job Overview:**Operate several types of power construction equipment, such as backhoes, excavators, hoe rams, bulldozers, rubber tire loaders, end dumps, compactors, and/or skid steer to excavate, backfill. Compact and prepare sub grade and final grade tasks.**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:**+ Inspect and maintain equipment daily to insure safe operation+ Fastens attachments, connects hydraulic hoses, belts, etc and perform minor repairs.+ Will be required to pass certification testing prior to operating some equipment.+ Annual physical examination required.+ Responsible for observing and complying with all company safety and project policies. Perform other duties as required.**Basic Qualifications:**+ The preferred candidates will have considerable experience utilizing excavator to conduct trenching.+ Ability to read survey stakes for alignment and grade.+ Knowledgeable of OSHA regulations regarding excavation methods and practices.+ Possess a valid driver's license+ Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen+ Preferred applicant will have current OSHA HAZWOPER training.+ Minimum 3 years' relevant construction experience and live locally (daily commute) to Hunter's Point.+ To be considered, applicants must provide a resume documenting verifiable experience when applyingAPTIM is committed to providing a benefits package that accomplishes the primary purpose of our programs which is to protect and promote the health and financial well-being of our employees and their families.
